LESBOS, Mytilene. Uncertain Antonine emperor. AD 161-192. Æ Medallion (41mm, 40.65 g, 6h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Marcus Aurelius, Lucius Verus, or Commodus right / Fortuna seated left on throne, cradling uncertain object in arm and holding patera. RPC IV online –. Fine, black patina, numerous cleaning marks, pattern of incisions around edge, centrally holed and plugged. Extremely rare, and apparently unpublished, as the reverse type does not match any of the Antonine medallions from Mytilene.
